Senior actor Mohan Babu, whose 'Son Of India' will be released in theatres on February 18, will be acting with his daughter Lakshmi Manchu in a movie to be directed by Prateek Prajosh of Bollywood. The untitled film is jointly produced by Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Manchu Entertainment.
Set to go on the floors in March, the film is a crime thriller that will be shot in a single schedule.
Lakshmi is elated that she is going to share screen space with her father. "Today is a day I have always dreamt of living and here it is. I will be sharing the screen with none other than my dad for the very first time. I am so grateful to the universe, my angels and my ancestors for guiding me and making me so capable enough for this day," the 'Gundello Godari' actress tweeted. Wishing his sister on her new movie, producer and 'Mosagallu' actor Vishnu Manchu wrote, "Her first movie in the banner which was started in her name Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and also her first with dad. This movie will be a cracker. Jai Sri Ram."
The launch event today was graced by Tollywood director Nandini Reddy and others. The film will have Mollywood actor Siddiqui in a key role.
With story and dialogues by Diamond Ratnababu, its music is by Priyadarshan Balasubramaniam.
