'Vellipo' is an independent music album featuring Rocky Jordan and Supritha Naidu. The latter is the daughter of character artist Surekha Vani. Released on Valentine's Day, it has been going strong on YouTube.
The video song was released at an event in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, director Naresh Amaraneni said, "It was Rocky who first approached me with the song and asked me to helm its video creation. I liked the idea of making it as a musical on the lines of what we have been seeing from Hollywood and Bollywood. We chose Surekha Vani garu's daughter because we felt she would apt. She has completely owned the character. Thanks to cinematographer Ravi Boyidapu, the visuals are rich. Editor Syam Vadavalli has also nailed it."
Supritha said, "I myself am surprised looking at me in the video. I was not sure whether I would be able to do it. But the director's motivation got me to pull up my socks. Thanks to this project, I have found a good friend in Rocky."
Rocky said, "It was my long-time wish to come out with a flavourful musical of this sort. I am happy to have realized the dream. I thank the entire technical team for giving their best."
Surekha Vani said, "I agreed to my daughter doing the video reluctantly, considering that she was not sure whether she would be able to pull it off. I am glad that she has done it."
