"Your name reverberates everywhere, never can we forget your compassion," says the lyrics of the Telugu song 'NTR: Anthayoo Neeve Tarakarama', a special private song brought out by Telugu-speaking NRI Ashwin Atluri. A fan of the legendary thespian and founder of TDP, Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, Ashwin has religiously brought out the song as a rich, profound tribute to the stellar talent and contributions made by the actor-politician.
The song features snatches from NTR's iconic scenes from films made in the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s. We see references to Nimmakuru, NTR's birthplace, among others, in the form of visuals. NTR is referred to as the pride of Telugus, a Nata Sarvabhouma who delivered a resounding 'Simha Gharjana'.
NTR's grace, impeccable dialogue-delivery, divine screen presence, and unmatched discipline also find a mention. "We have limitless love for you," the lyrics suggest.
After paying homage to NTR's cinematic exploits, his political legacy is extolled. The viewer is visually and lyrically reminded of the history of the TDP, the trouncing of political rivals at the hustings, NTR's oratory, his trend-setting welfare schemes, and the immense public adulation he always received.
Sung by Anjana Sowmya and Swarag, its music is by SK Baji of Bullettu Bandi fame. Gowtham Raju has edited the song.
The song was released on January 18, marking NTR's death anniversary.
