Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has issued a statement congratulating the winners of the Padma awards this year. The Jana Sena chief, in his statement, made a mention of all major winners.
Cyrus Poonawalla of Serum Institute of India, Krishna Ella and Suchitra Ella of Bharath Biotech came in for a special mention on winning Padma Bhushan. The 'Vakeel Saab' actor also hailed Late CDS General Bipin Rawat, who received the Padma Vibhushan for Civil Service.
Garikapati Narasimha Rao, the spiritual exponent, was described by the 'Bheemla Nayak' actor as a scholar with a deep understanding of Telugu literature and spirituality. Darshanam Mogiliah, the Kinnera exponent, who sang a song in 'Bheemla Nayak' last year, was also congratulated.
Power Star also made a mention of Sowcar Janaki, the veteran actress, who received the Padma Shri. 'Gosaveedu' Shaik Hassan, a nadaswaram exponent who dedicated his life to the famous Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple at Bhadrachalam, also came in for a mention for winning Padma Shri posthumously.
