Alia Bhatt's film with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has finally locked a new release date. It was postponed from January 6 this year. Titled 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', the entertainer will now head to theatres on February 25.
"Witness her reign in cinemas near you on 25th February 2022," the makers wrote on Twitter.
It was also revealed today that the film's world premiere at the prestigious 72nd Berlin International Film Festival is also in the offing. The film is produced by Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada.
The date has been announced keeping in view the developments in Mumbai, Delhi and other states. Theatres are operating at 50% capacity now in most states. The restrictions will be lifted by the mid of February, going by the trend.
