'Real Dandupalyam' is an upcoming action thriller starring Ragini Dwivedi, Meghana Raj, Samyukta Hornad, Deepti D Babu, Prathama Prasad and others. Directed by M Mahesh, the film is produced by Puttaswamy and Ramdhan Media Works.
On Friday, the makers said that the film will head to theatres on February 4.
At an event held today in Hyderabad, the makers of the film spoke at length. TFPC Chairman Prasanna Kumar said, "This film portrays the victimization and brutalization of women. It also shows what will be the consequences when the suppressed women revolt."
Producer and publisher Suresh Kondeti said, "The 'Dandupalyam' series is a sensation in both Telugu and Kannada. Ragini's stunts are going to be a highlight."
Producer C Puttaswamy said, "This edition of 'Dandupalyam' will be better than the previous ones. It's about five female victims of male oppression."
Actress Ragini Dwivedi said, "It was challenging to essay the role. Real incidents have been portrayed. This one is my first action film releasing in Telugu."
The event was also attended by Malavath Purna, the mountaineer, who scaled Mt. Everest in 2014. She spoke of the need to encourage meaningful films like 'Real Dandupalyam'.
