I am eagerly waiting for 'The Warriorr': Director Shankar at Chennai event

A pre-release event of 'The Warriorr' was held in Chennai on Wednesday. The who's who of the Tamil film industry graced the event. The film is hitting the cinemas on July 14.

Speaking on the occasion veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja said, "If people like Mani Ratnam and Shankar are here today, it is only for director N Lingusamy. I loved the dance choreography in 'Bullet Song' and 'Whistle Song'. Ram is making a Tamil debut. Let me say that he is a very good dancer. The Telugu film industry has been taking giant leaps. Shankar had shown the path to grandeur through his films."

Mani Ratnam said, "Lingusamy is such a nice human being. During the peak of the pandemic, he mobilized a number of Kollywood personalities for something noble. Thanks to him, I have developed a rapport with so many filmmakers from our industry. I wish the team of 'The Warriorr' all the best."

'2.0' director Shankar said that everyone is a fighter and therefore, we are all warriors in our own right. Right from the 'Bullet Song', all songs are superb in the movie, he added, appreciating composer Devi Sri Prasad. He hoped that Krithi Shetty goes on to become a fine actress eventually winning a National Award. Shankar described Lingusamy as a good friend.

Ram Pothineni said that he had been waiting for a Kollywood debut for 15 years. "But I never imagined that I would get this grand a launch. Thanks to Lingusamy sir, these many legends are on one stage. It is as if Lingusamy sir has won a lifetime achievement award. I am glad to have got to work with him," Ram said.

About Aadhi Pinisetty, the 'iSmart Shankar' said that he has taken the antagonist's character in 'The Warriorr' to the next level. He mentioned Nadhiya and producer Srinivasa Chitturi in his speech.

In his long speech, Lingusamy made a mention of all the guests. He said that the title of the movie was zeroed in after mooting several names.

Heroine Krithi Shetty said, "We have got the blessings of legendary filmmakers. wish the producer all the best. I am also doing another film with producer Chitturi. Devi Sri Prasad had given the best music for 'Uppena'. I am glad to have got to work once again with him."

Actor Vishal said, "Director Lingusamy has chosen a very good title. It's because of his movie 'Pandem Kodi' that I got an action hero image. I welcome Ram to the Tamil film industry."

Aadhi Pinisetty said, "I hope we score a hit this July 14th."

DSP said, "It's not a small thing that so many directors have graced this event. People wait for months to get their appointment. 'The Warriorr' is a huge movie. I am happy to have done this film. 'Bullet Song' has become a massive hit. I hope the Tamil audience love Ram's acting."
