'Virata Parvam' is hitting the screens on June 17. Speaking at its pre-release event, Victory Venkatesh predicted that Sai Pallavi will win a National Award for her performance in the action drama.
Speaking on the occasion, the 'F3' actor said, "I am happy that a great film like this has been made in Telugu. Rana Daggubati has been a dedicated actor ever since he debuted in 'Leader'. I am happy he has done a film like 'VP'. Director Venu Udugula is an honest filmmaker. Sai Pallavi, Priyamani, Zarina Wahab and Naveen Chandra have all delivered award-worthy performances. The cinematographers (Dani and Divakar Mani) and action director (Peter Hein) have done a great job."
Sai Pallavi said, "This is the first time that I have done a movie that is based on true incidents. Doing this film has been a great experience. I thank Venu garu for casting me in a role of this sort. The technicians have made 'VP' a delightful experience with their craftsmanship. I thank producers Sudhakar Cherukuri garu and Suresh Babu garu on this occasion. Rana is a man with a heart. He always strives to bring out great stories and scripts."
Rana Daggubati said, "Director Venu has made the film sincerely by weaving a beautiful love story around a set of fearsome incidents. This film wouldn't have been there but for Sai Pallavi. And I thank producers Sudhar and Srikanth for backing this film. Naveen Chandra and Priyamani, who are members of the Ravanna 'dalam', have done a great job. Easwari Rao, Nandita Das, Zarina Wahab have put up nice performances."
Director Venu Udugula said, "I thank my writing and direction teams. As long as the hunter writes history, the hunted will not have a voice. 'Virata Parvam' says that there is nothing more democratic than love. Our film uses the political context prevalent in the early 1990s as a canvas. It is essentially a love story. Sai Pallavi is as important to the story as 'pallavi' is to a song. Rana's character is like Chandrudu and Sai Pallavi is Vennela."
Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri said, "The movie can be watched at a cost of Rs 150 in single screens and Rs 200 in multiplexes in Telangana. In AP, the cost, respectively, is Rs 147 and Rs 177."
