Star director Prashanth Neel has reiterated that 'KGF 3' is definitely going to happen. However, even he doesn't know when it will be materialized.
Speaking to Galatta, the filmmaker said that the third edition is going to happen out of compulsion. By this, he means to say that the audience's immense love for the 'KGF' franchise has compelled him to extend the universe of the movie.
Does it mean that 'KGF 3' is not an organic extension? Not really, as Neel adds that the idea for the third edition has been there in his mind for a long time.
In Summer this year, Hombale Films stated that the third chapter of the Yash-starrer is not coming to fruition anytime soon. "With a lot of exciting projects ahead of us, we Hombale Films will not be starting #KGF3 anytime soon. We will let you know with a bang when we start the work towards it," the production house said in unambiguous terms.
Hombale Films is currently producing Prabhas' 'Salaar' and Prithviraj Sukumaran's 'Tyson'.
