Puri Jagannadh has collaborated with Vamshi Paidipally, Charmme Kaur and Srikara Studios for a massive action drama whose story unfolds in the backdrop of the Indian Army's exploits. Titled 'JGM' (short for 'Jana Gana Mana'), the film was launched today. To be shot from April this year, it will hit the cinemas in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and two other languages on August 3, 2023. ('Liger', the first film of the Puri-Vijay duo, is slated to hit the cinemas on August 25 this year).
Announcing 'JGM', the 'Arjun Reddy' actor shared a poster in which we see soldiers in fatigue. The dynamism suggested by the pre-look says it all. Puri is up for something edgy and adrenaline-pumping.
In a statement, the 'Geetha Govindam' actor said that 'JGM' is one of the most striking scripts he has ever come across. "And then they chose- All out WAR! A passion project of gigantic scale, content & execution! (sic)," wrote Charmme Kaur, one of the producers of the pan-India movie.
With story and dialogues by Puri himself, the film's rest of the cast and crew will be revealed soon.
