Mahesh Babu wants to strike big as a producer this year. 'Major', his expensive project, will hit the cinemas on June 3 in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. It is competing with 'Prithviraj' in Hindi and 'Vikram' in Telugu.
Probably, the 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' star realizes the gravity of the stiff competition. That's why Team 'Major' is ensuring that the Bollywood media thoroughly promotes 'Major'. The film's song 'Oh Isha' was launched at an event in Mumbai. This is the second or third 'Major' event to be held in Mumbai. A song event in Mumbai is the zenith of publicity for a film starring a debutant (Adivi Sesh is making his Hindi debut).
If 'Major' earns a nett figure of Rs 3 Cr or so in Hindi on Day One in India, Sesh and Mahesh can consider it a big deal. 'Prithviraj' needs to collect much more, considering its huge budget.
