'Lucky Star' is the title of an upcoming Telugu-dubbed movie starring Yash in the lead. The 'KGF' actor, long before he became a pan-Indian sensation, did a Kannada rom-com titled 'Lucky'. The movie was released in 2012 and was directed by Dr Suri.
The same is now being dubbed in Telugu with the aim of attracting Yash's admirers in the Telugu States. With music by Arjun Janya, it has Ramya as the heroine. Also featuring Sharan, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkanna and Vijay Chendoor, 'Lucky Star' has cinematography by Krishna.
Sandalwood producer Radhika Kumaraswamy has joined hands with producer Ravi Raj of Sri Durga Parameshwari Productions for the Telugu release. Ravi Raj said that his banner is currently making several straight Telugu movies. "After we bought the dubbing rights to 'Lucky', several producers in Tollywood wanted to acquire the rights from us. They made fancy offers. But we wanted to release 'Lucky Star' by ourselves and are doing so soon," he added.
