It was on 11 November 2002 that 'Eeswar', Prabhas' first movie, got released. Directed by Jayanth C Paranjee, its story was by Deena Raj. The young actor was seen as a reckless brat from a slum named Dhoolpet in the hit movie.
Twenty years later, Prabhas is a pan-India superstar, not just a multi-lingual actor. Each of these movies - 'Varsham', 'Mr. Perfect', 'Chatrapathi', 'Chakram', 'Mirchi' and the 'Baahubali' movies - have sculpted Prabhas' image and stamina in their own ways.
His line-up is tremendous. 'Adipurush' is slated to release in theatres on June 16, 2023. 'Salaar', 'Project K', the untitled Maruthi movie, and 'Spirit' are going to be much bigger than anybody could have imagined 20 years ago. For the next 20 years, Prabhas's pan-India stature will only get bigger.
Whatever has happened to his filmography happened despite Prabhas not chasing success. Talented filmmakers like SS Rajamouli and Koratala Siva have worked with him because they saw huge potential in him. Ten years from now, there will likely be no genre which Prabhas will not have done.
