Nag Ashwin is currently making 'Project K' with Prabhas as the hero. Recently, Prabhas' intro scene was shot at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. While the director is too occupied with the pan-Indian sci-fi movie, he has revisited 'X Life', his OTT debut released in 2021. 'X Life', made for Netflix, featured Shruti Haasan and playback singer Sanjith Hegde in the lead. It was part of the 'Pitta Kathalu' anthology.
On Thursday, the 'Mahanati' director said that the 'Pitta Kathalu' segment was overambitious and underwritten. He feels that it was not racy enough. Ashwin has invited wannabe editors to make a recut of the entire 30-minute segment or a part of it. If he likes the recut version, the editor will land a job at Vyjayanthi Movies.
The 'Yevade Subrahmanyam' director has to be appreciated for publicly admitting to the inept handling of a project. Usually, Tollywood directors never accept their mistakes even when a film flops.
