'AWE' director Prasanth Varma currently awaits the theatrical release of 'Hanu-Man'. The film stars Teja Sajja as a super-hero.
In a recent speech, the 'Zombie Reddy' director used the word 'mythology' while referring to the Ramayana. Many took to social media to say that describing the epic as mythology is offensive.
On Saturday, Varma took to Twitter and aplogized for the same. "Please pardon me for using the word ‘Mythology’ in my speech! Rāmāyana is our ‘History’! (sic)," he tweeted.
'Hanu-Man', also starring Vinay Rai and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, has received appreciation from veteran filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. "The trailer is stunning. It moves from realism to mythical depictions. I liked the texture of the VFX," he added.
