"When DARKNESS eclipses DHARMA, The ANCIENTS shall RISE again (sic)," the makers of 'Hanu-Man', Tollywood's first home-grown superhero movie, wrote. The film will be released on January 12 next year (2024) in five Indian languages (Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada) and five foreign languages (English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese).
Teja Sajja plays a super-hero blessed by Lord Hanuman in this seemingly formulaic larger-than-life action drama with a super-villain spin. It is interesting that Varalakshmi Sarathkumar has been cast as the hero's aggressive sister.
The antagonist is a maniac in search of unlimited powers. Played by Vinay Rai, he wants to get hold of something that grants him an insuperable boon. The clash between Good and Evil in the backdrop of a gigantic Hanuman statue, is what director Prasanth Varma's film is all about. Samuthirakani is seen as a Sadhu who bats for Dharma.
Also featuring Raj Deepak Shetty, Vennela Kishore, Getup Srinu, and Satya, the film features Amritha Aiyer as the hero's love interest. The rom-com track has not been revealed. Either there is a big twist to the heroine's character or the makers have a plan to release a separate trailer for the track.
With cinematography by Shivendra, the film's screenplay has been done by Scriptsville. Gowra Hari, Anudeep Dev, and Krishna Saurabh are the music directors.
