Kollywood actor Simbu is quite popular among the Telugu audience. His latest theatrical release is 'Pathu Thala', a neo-noir action thriller starring him as a crime boss. It hit the cinemas on March 30.
The makers are happy that the film, directed by Obeli N Krishna, grossed Rs 12.03 Cr and Rs 14 Cr on the first day and second day of its release, respectively.
Also featuring 'Thiruchitrabalam' and 'Kalyanam Kamaneeyam' actress Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Karthik (as an undercover cop), Gautham Vasudev Menon (as a politician), and others, its music is by AR Rahman.
Simbu was last year seen in 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu', directed by Gautam Menon. It was released as 'Life Of Muthu' in Telugu.
