Raghava Lawrence's 'Rudhrudu' will hit the cinemas on April 14. Its Telugu release rights have been acquired by producer Tagore Madhu, who will be releasing the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The news is that its trailer was out today. The release date has been reconfirmed. While the Kollywood nativity becomes clear, the film also looks rooted. We can expect a fusion of commercial ideas drawn from multiple hits. At the same time, 'Rudhrudu' can be expected to maintain its own identity. The second half needs to show a surprise element that can accentuate the audience's experience.
The film, helmed and originally produced by Kathiresan, stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the heroine. Senior Kollywood actor Sarathkumar will be seen in a key role. GV Prakash Kumar is its song composer, while Sam CS is its BGM composer.
The Telugu version's pre-release event is going to be held in Hyderabad soon. Its trailer launch event in Chennai was a grand affair on Thursday with 'Vikram' director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vetri Maaran in attendance as guests.
