If you are active on social media as a movie buff, you would have come across Umair Sandhu's tweets. He claims to watch big-ticket movies even before they are ready from the producer's end. His positive as well as negative pre-release reviews are complete lies. Last year, it was he who first created the rumour that Kriti Sanon was betrothed to Prabhas.
He recently targeted Akhil Akkineni by writing that the 'Most Eligible Bachelor' actor inconvenienced Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela during the shoot of a song for 'Agent'. Umair Sandhu went to the extent of suggesting that Urvashi completed the song despite Akhil making her uncomfortable by "harassing" her. He is now up for legal notice from the actress herself.
“Defamation legal notice has been served by my legal team (to the film journalist)," she wrote, describing Umair Sandhu as a "disgruntled and indecent journalist" who writes ridiculous posts. She told him to keep his mouth shut, as he is not her "official spokesperson".
It is not known if Akhil got Urvashi to warn Umair Sandhu. It wouldn't be ethically wrong to do so.
