It is known that Congress MLA from Nalgonda, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, took charge as the Cinematography Minister in the Telangana government. He is also the Minister of Roads and Buildings.
As per NTV, Venkat Reddy is upset that no Tollywood stalwart has rang him up to congratulate him on his ascension as the Cinematography Minister. He has been quoted as saying that Dil Raju is the lone heavyweight from the Telugu film industry to make a courtesy call while in the US. The Minister reportedly asked his officials to present a report on Tollywood in a week.
Meanwhile, producer Sunil Narang has spoken of a plan to make a courtesy visit in the presence of other elders such as Dil Raju, Suresh Babu and others.
A single window clearance for permission to shoot at government spots will be one of the requests to be made by Tollywood to the new government. Industry status, which will help the Telugu film producers get bank loans at lower interest, is another of the long-standing requests that the new Minister will be urged to consider.
