The film's promotions were limited to a week before its release. No effort was spared to promote it after the second wave of the pandemic in those seven days. The film was a flop.
The release date of 'Sridevi Shoban Babu' was announced just 12 days before its release. The result is that the film flopped big time.
This is not to say that there is a causation between a short window between the announcement of the release date and the release of a movie. Correlation is not causation. But it's a fact that many films have failed due to a lack of adequate window. Viswhak Sen and Santosh Shoban are budding actors with a lot of potential. And the results of two of their important movies in recent times might hold some lessons for producers.
