The teaser for Allari Naresh's 'Ugram' was today unveiled several weeks ahead of the film's theatrical release this Summer. Star hero Naga Chaitanya, who awaits the release of 'Custody', was present at the teaser launch event as the chief guest.
Producers Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi of Shine Screens sounded confident. Director Vijay Kanakamedala has cast the hero as a sincere police officer who unleashes his fury. The title 'Ugram' may well also allude to the hero's fierce behaviour after his family comes under attack from the villains.
Speaking at the teaser launch event, Naga Chaitanya today said that 'Ugram' seems to be an overwhelming experience. He described Naresh as a stunner in the teaser. "It's great to see Naresh doing such an intense role again after 'Naandhi'. The actor-director combination has become a brand. All departments have done a great job. Sahu Harish is a wonderful producer. I know it because I worked with him during 'Majili', which is the best movie in my career. I can't forget the way the banner supported that movie. I see that kind of commitment again in the case of 'Ugram'," the 'Love Story' actor said.
Allari Naresh thanked Naga Chaitanya for gracing the occasion. Calling Chaitu his favorite person, he added that it was a pleasure to host him. The hero attributed his success to his directors, be it Krish Jagarlamudi who made 'Gamyam' or Samuthirakhani who made 'Sambho Shiva Sambho'. He thanked director Vijay for standing by him with 'Naandhi'. Dialogue writer Abburi Ravi, Editor Chota Prasad, art director Brahma Kadali, and cinematographer Siddharj J also were mentioned.
Vijay Kanakamedala said that the success of 'Naandhi' has shown that honest films will always be appreciated by the audience. He added that 'Ugram' is another honest film. He thanked the core technical team and the producers as well.
Abburi Ravi said that 'Ugram' is a movie that gives an amazing experience to the audience. He suggested that it can make the audience cry and laugh!
Actress Mirnaa, who will be seen as the hero's wife in the movie, was also present.
