SS Rajamouli's 'RRR', Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files', Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara', Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and 'Chhello Show' have been qualified to be eligible for nomination to the Oscars 2023, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today said. They are among a total of 301 films on the Academy’s annual Reminder List of Productions Eligible for the 95th Academy Awards.
It is a broad-category list. R Madhavan's 'Rocketry', 'Me Vasantrao', 'The Next Morning', and Sudeep Kichcha's 'Vikrant Rona' are also part of the list. It must be noted that quite a handful of films are not popular names.
The inclusion of 'RRR' is the most important of all. The final nominations will be announced on January 24.
