At 7 PM (IST) on Tuesday, the much-awaited Oscar nominations will be announced. 'RRR' is expected to receive two nominations - one in the Best Picture category and the other one in the Best Original Song category for 'Naatu Naatu'.
If the Rajamouli-Jr NTR-Ram Charan directorial bags at least one nomination, the Oscars event later this year will be watched eagerly by lakhs of Indians as if it were a cricket match or something. The 95th Oscars will be held on March 12.
"The fate of 'RRR' in tonight's Oscar nominations will decide the fate of the show. Expect millions and millions of new viewers to tune into the show making it the most-viewed Oscar event in history, if 'RRR' gets nominated in even a single category," tweeted blogger Kartik Dayanand.
Many are of the opinion that 'RRR' not receiving a Best Picture nom will disappoint many cine buffs in India to the core.
