Shocking! Famous dubbing artist A Srinivasa Murthy is no more

On a day when the Telugu film industry is mourning the demise of Jamuna, here comes another piece of bad news. Famous dubbing artist A Srinivasa Murthy, whose voice has entertained and engaged us in notable Telugu-dubbed films like 'Aparichitudu' (for Vikram), the 'Singham' movies (for Suriya) and many others, passed away today.

Reports say that Murthy, who was hardly 55, died due to cardiac arrest. His father AVN Murthy is formerly a playback singer.

Srinivasa Murthy shone in the domain of dubbing for nearly 30 years. He started out receiving offers in the mid-1990s or so. Top filmmakers like Shankar and Mani Ratnam liked the quality of his voice for their films like 'Oke Okkadu' and 'Sakhi'. Murthy's voice suited multiple genres and a variety of characters. He roared like an aggressive cop, he could convince us with his voice for characters as different as the ones played by Mohan Lal, Ajith, Rajasekhar and Upendra.

Ragalahari extends its deepest condolences to Murthy's family and friends. It will be difficult to replace him!
