The CBFC recently viewed 'Hidimbha' and raised objections to extremely violent scenes in the movie. A review committee later reviewed the action thriller with historical elements and gave it a go-ahead.
The news is that 'Hidimbha' is now heading to theaters on July 20.
Starring Ashwin Babu, Nandita Swetha of 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada' as a cop, and others, the film has been acquired by Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainments. Director Aneel Kanneganti recently stated that the concept of the movie is original with zero influences from other movies. "This is a film that goes from an investigative thriller to historical fiction. It is very different and fresh," he added.
With fights by Joshuva and Real Satish, the film also features Srinivasa Reddy, Sahithi Avancha, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Sanjay Swaroop and others.
The film's trailer, released last month, has managed to pique the audience's interest.
