'Baby' is not 'RX 100': Why don't trolls get the obvious?

'RX 100', which hit the cinemas in 2018, was a sleeper hit. The twist involving Payal Rajput's dangerous character was an absolute stunner. It is only because of that film that its director Ajay Bhupathi and its lead actors (Kartikeya and Payal) are even known to the audience.

'Baby', this week's biggest release, has been bracketed with 'RX 100' by some trolls. Netizens are saying that the plot of 'Baby' is partly inspired by the story of 'RX 100'.

The arcs of the two stories, the moral compass of the female leads, the themes, and the emotional quotient of the two movies are entirely different. Vaishnavi in 'Baby' is a confused teen who becomes misguided. While being broadly ethical and emotionally vulnerable, she is too ignorant to gauge the consequences of her choices. In 'RX 100', the heroine turned out to be the antagonist. Payal's character absolutely knew what she was doing. She was not naive. And she was never in love with the male lead. 'Baby' is a teen love story.

We can keep on talking about at least 3-4 substantial differences between 'Baby' and 'RX 100' but we will end up revealing spoilers.
