'Baby', which is set to hit the cinemas on July 14, has been described by its makers as an emotional, unique love story.
The film's trailer launch event on Friday was attended by 'Maharshi' and 'Vaarasudu' maker Vamsi Paidipally and others. Speaking on the occasion, the 'Brindavanam' director said that the content in the trailer is excellent. He wished the film's lead heroes, Anand Deverakonda and Viraj Ashwin, all the best. Further, he made a reference to Vijay Deverakonda's passion. He also lauded director Maruthi (producer SKN's creative partner) and GA2 Pictures' Bunny Vass.
Producer SKN spoke of his friendship with Bunny Vass, Maruthi and Allu Aravind, whom he has known for about two decades. As a budding producer, he yearns to platform new talents. He described the 'Prati Roju Pandage' director as his backbone. Director Sai Rajesh's creativity was praised by him. The 'Taxiwala' producer added that Vijay has stood by his side from the beginning.
SKN reiterated his belief that Telugu-speaking girls must do more and more movies. He suggested that he would prefer them over others. The film's heroine, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, was roped in after SKN watched her in a brief appearance in 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo'.
Heroine Vaishnavi, who is playing the titular character, said that her part in the movie is relatable. "It is a deep character. Rarely do actors get to play such parts," she added.
Viraj Ashwin, who is playing an urbane character, described 'Baby' as a hard-hitting movie. "Everyone will relate to its main characters," he added.
The film's main lead, Anand, said that the story of 'Baby' will haunt everyone. He described Sai Rajesh as a talented writer-director who has delivered a solid story. The dialogues in the trailer made him feel emotional, the 'Pushpaka Vimanam' actor added.
