'Adipurush' is turning out to be a golden release at the box-office. Starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon as Rama and Sita, respectively, the film is logging exceptional advance bookings. The first weekend (the movie will be released in theatres on June 16) is going to be solid in Hindi.
"Advance bookings for the Hindi version were floated on June 11. Since then, the bookings have only increased from strength to strength in the Hindi belt," a source says.
The popularity of the genre and the subject matter of the film has meant that people are queuing up in theatres outside not only Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi and Prayagraj but also in Kolkata, Pune and Aurangabad. The exhibitors in Haryana are also elated.
As per the trade talk, exhibitors are pleasantly surprised and are hoping for the Om Raut directorial to generate stunning first-weekend collections. In the national multiplex giants PVR - Inox and Cinepolis, the film is expected to log advance sales of more than 3.5 lakh for the Hindi version alone on Day One. 'Adipurush' is defying all expectations and is poised to take a phenomenal opening.
