Addressing a public rally on Wednesday, Pawan Kalyan told voters that he is smaller than pan-India actors like Prabhas. He added that his colleagues such as Mahesh Babu are paid more than him. He suggested that Jr NTR, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan are more popular than him in other parts of the country.
Power Star may finally have acknowledged that he is lagging behind in terms of film choices. After making remake after remake, he has made his filmography look lifeless and unexciting. Half the films he has done in the last 12 years are remakes. Among his upcoming movies, 'Bro' and 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' are remakes. No actor would have shown in remaking outdated stories like 'Katamarayudu'. He alone could do such a thing with confidence!
On the other hand, Prabhas has lined up films like 'Salaar' and 'Spirit'. Even his disasters like 'Saaho' were more exciting than Pawan's most films in recent years. Mahesh Babu is going to work with SS Rajamouli. Allu Arjun is doing 'Pushpa 2', which will be followed by a few exciting projects in the next few years. Ram Charan is doing Shankar's 'Game Changer'. Jr NTR will be working with 'KGF' director Prashanth Neel.
There was a time when Pawan used to be ahead of others. He is now behind the curve.
