'John Wick: Chapter 4', the American neo-noir action thriller film directed by Chad Staheles, is written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. The fourth installment in the John Wick franchise stars Keanu Reeves as the hero.
This sequel to 'John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum' has been billed as the biggest film in the franchise in terms of grandeur and budget. Lionsgate and PVR Pictures have partnered to bring out the film in theatres this March 24 across India in multiple languages, including Telugu.
In a statement, the leading man Keanu Reeves said suggested that the film is expansive. "In previous John Wick films, there were lots of fun and unexpected twists and turns. New levels of John Wick action and new weapons are going to be featured in the fourth chapter," the makers suggested, adding that Winston is a master of revenge.
Keanu Reeves plays John Wick, a "professional hitman and assassin who has gained a legendary reputation for his set of skills and is now hunted by the High Table."
With music by Tyler Bates and Joel J Richard, the film has cinematography by Dan Laustsen.
The film is already receiving praises after its US premieres. "JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 is going to make every action filmmaker not named Chris McQuarrie (of 'Top Gun: Maverick' and 'Mission Impossible' series fame) lose sleep. I have no idea how they pulled off the final hour. If you liked the first three (and of course you did), you will have a blast. Keanu forever. The neo-noir actioner is three hours long and I would wager that about 90 minutes of it is action scenes where Chad Stahelski (producer) just runs circles around 99% of action filmmakers," wrote film critic Jacob Hall on Twitter.
