Prakash Raj, who is currently doing films like 'Guntur Kaaram', is now in the Enforcement Directorate net. As per reports on Thursday, the ED issued a summons to him in connection with an alleged money laundering case. The case is linked to a Ponzi scheme. "The actor has been summoned by the ED in an alleged Rs 100-Cr Ponzi scheme linked to Pranav Jewellers, a chain accused of running the scam," an advocate tweeted.
The 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actor has promoted Pranav Jewellers for many years now. "Many people invested in their gold-saving schemes. When the public went to collect their money, the promoters ran away," a report added. "ED has summoned him to get details about the payments he received from Pranav Jewellers," reported NDTV.
More than an hour after the news surfaced in the media, Prakash Raj reacted with these words on social media: Khela Hobe, the popular Bengali language political slogan. The tweet could mean that the actor believes the Narendra Modi government is targeting him due to his anti-BJP stance since 2017.
