Actor Siddharth on Tuesday was in Hyderabad to promote his movie 'Chinna', which is slated to hit the cinemas on October 6.
The 'Bommarillu' actor turned emotional as he talked about how people in the Telugu film industry wrote off his film. "Chinna has been my dream. The Tamil version was bought by Red Giant, owned by Udayanidhi Stalin. In Tamil Nadu, the collections on the 5th day are the sum of the collections of the first 4 days. In Karnataka, the makers of the KGF movies bought my movie saying they have never watched such a drama before. In Kerala, the biggest distributor bought my movie. In Telugu, when I wanted to release it on September 28, people here commented that nobody would watch Siddharth's movies. If 'Chinna' doesn't satisfy the Telugu audience, I will never promote any of my movies here," Siddharth said.
Siddharth further said that two child artists have nailed with their performances. "Even Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan were bowled over by their acting," he added.
Describing the movie as an emotional thriller, Sid said that the movie was censored 120 days ago. "My plan was to release it in all languages on September 28 at any cost. I was ready for a clash with Salaar. I have already made profits," he added.
