Naveen Polishetty has cemented his position in the middle-rung order of Telugu cinema. He is now in the league of Nani and Vijay Deverakonda with the release of 'Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty'.
The film took not-so-vibrant openings at the box office on Thursday. Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' undoubtedly humbled it on Day 1 and even Day 2 (to an extent). However, as per the latest trade talk, the Naveen Polishetty-Anushka Shetty rom-com is now heading towards a very encouraging weekend.
Leaving aside the commercial potential of the UV Creations product, the 'Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya' actor has been lauded for his excellent performance in the film. He is showing consistency and also versatility. Unlike in 'Jathi Ratnalu' and 'ASSA', the young actor has got a full-fledged heroine by his side in 'MSMP'. In the last 20 minutes of the film, he portrays serious emotions. And he has done a good job of it without any doubt.
At this rate, Polishetty is going to further consolidate his position.
In a recent interview, he said that he would be doing a fantasy film and a period drama next. After a detective comedy, an absurd comedy and a relationship comedy, it seems Polishetty is going to add more variety to his filmography.
