In 'Miss Shetty, Mr Polishetty', Naveen Polishetty plays a condemned son and a damned lover boy. The latest song, 'Hathavidi', brings out both aspects, although the emphasis is more on heartbreak.
Actor Dhanush chips in with his offbeat vocals. Ramajogayya Sastry's lyrics are written to rhyme and chime. The lines are written in such a way that the 'SIR' actor, who is not a native Telugu speaker, gets to bring his 'Kolaveri Di' personality to the table.
Naveen Polishetty, on whom the song is shot, looks the part. Murali Sharma makes a cameo appearance in the lyrical video as the male protagonist's angry dad. "Jaane Jigars. The Hathavidi song's full lyrical video is out now. Lots of surprises from the movie. Pick your fav moment. Boys Mana paata vachindi darlings (sic)," the 'Jathi Ratnalu' actor wrote on Twitter.
Director Mahesh Babu P is currently overseeing post-production works. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
