'Ashtadigbandhanam' is the title of an upcoming crime thriller directed and written by Baba PR. Produced by MKaka Film Production, its trailer was released today. The film will head to the theatres on September 22.
Political intrigues seem to be a crucial aspect of the script. "This war is not for kingdom, power or a woman. This is a battle of egos," a character says in the trailer. We are shown shots of violent attacks, sensual intimacy, and murders. We see tense chases, edgy politicos and restless gangsters in this dramatic clash of egos. Dominated by masculine men and hyper-aggressive power-hungry characters, the film is touted to be screenplay-based.
Producer Manoj Kumar Aggarwal has worked with composer Jackson Vijayan. Starring Surya Bharat Chandra (lead man), Vishika Kota, Vishwendar Reddy, Mahesh Ravul, Ranjit, Roshni Razak, Viva Reddy and others, the film's fights have been composed by Ram Krishna and Shankar Uyyala. Edited by Satya Giduturi, the film's trailer launch event today was attended by 'Baby' director Sai Rajesh as a guest. "Looking at the trailer, I am confident that the story will live up to the title," Sai Rajesh said. The director of the film iterated that 'Ashtadigbandhanam' weds crime elements with suspense and thrills.
Hero Surya thanked the makers for encouraging him. "I am innocent in the story. However, the same character turns aggressive as the story progresses," he added.
Heroine Vishika said that she didn't get to understand the nuances of acting when she was a child artist. "However, now, I am getting a grip on acting. Working on this film has been a great experience," she said.
