The Russian government has been seeking cultural ties with the Indian film industry lately. Before last year, we saw how 'Pushpa: The Rise' was released in Russia amid promotions. The administration there has been trying its best to further deepen Russia's ties with the Telugu film industry.
The news is that a high-level delegation of the Culture Ministry of Moscow has held an informal deliberation with Megastar Chiranjeevi at his residence in Hyderabad. Julia Golubeva, the Cinema Advisor to the Ministry of the Government of Moscow, was among those present. Ekaterina Cherkez Zade, the Head of Center for Creative Industries Development from Moscow, was the second dignitary. Also present was Maria SitkovskayaDirector, Universal University.
As per a statement, the delegation described the Indian film industry in general and the Telugu film industry in particular as a thriving one. The Russian Creative Industry wants to further expand its ties with India. In this regard, the delegation "expressed keen interest in promoting shootings of Telugu films in Russia".
The topic of discussion also touched upon the exploration of "creative collaborations" between both countries.
