Bollywood movie 'Stree 2' has been running to packed houses. Unprecedented demand across the country is defining its theatrical run. Multiplexes in major cities are packed, while single-screen theatres in smaller towns and cities are witnessing exceptional footfall, as per trade reports.
The film's performance over the extended Independence Day-Raksha Bandhan weekend is expected to be phenomenal, with industry insiders like Taran Adarsh predicting a massive collection of around Rs 200 (Nett. BO terms) in India. 'Stree 2' has already made Rs 100 Cr in its first two days, including preview shows on Day 0.
With such a strong start, the film is well on its way to becoming one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
'Stree 2', starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor (as a phantasm) in lead roles, is a horror-comedy. Written by Niren Bhatt, the Bollywood film also features Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and others. 'Stree 2' will premiere on Amazon Prime after its theatrical run.
