'Fighter', the Bollywood film, is directed by Siddharth Anand. In a scene in the film, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, both of whom play IAF officers, are seen kissing each other while wearing uniforms. A Wing Commander from Assam has reportedly slapped the makers with a notice, saying that it was inappropriate on the part of the film to show two uniformed IAF officers kissing.
Incidentally, in a song in the upcoming 'Operation Valentine', two IAF officers do something similar. They are seen in an intimate pose in a song titled 'Gaganaala'. Varun Tej and Mushi Chhillar are the lead pair in the film. The Telugu-Hindi bilingual will hit the cinemas on March 1.
Films involving the military are strictly vetted by concerned authorities. They are not certified unless a No-Objection Certificate has been issued by them. As such, individual officers can't raise objections unless there is a valid legal point to be made.
