Three films on February 23 and five films on March 1. That's what Telugu movies buffs can expect in the coming two weeks. Read on...
February 23:
1. Sundaram Master: Starring Viva Harsha in the lead, the film is directed by Kalyan Santosh. Co-produced by Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, it is a comedy set in a fictional tribal village.
2. Masthu Shades Unnai Ra: Starring Abhinav Gomatam in the lead, the entertainer is a semi-serious film wherein the male lead is aspirational. The 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' actor is expecting to score a hit with his debut as a male lead.
3. Vyooham: This Ram Gopal Varma-directed political movie has its intentions clear. By now, you all know what to expect from this propaganda piece.
March 1:
1. Operation Valentine: Starring Varun Tej in the lead, this is a Telugu-Hindi bilingual. A worry is that the film is carrying no buzz although the makers are trying their best to make use of the nationalistic mood among the public. If this film gets lukewarm openings, it will be nothing short of a humiliation for Varun Tej.
2. Razakar: This is a dramatized film based on real incidents involving the Razakar militia during the Nizam era. Directed by Yata Satyanarayana, Razakar co-stars Bobby Simha, Vedika, Anushya Tripathi, Prema, Indraja and Makarand Desh Pandey.
3. Chari 111: This is a spy comedy starring Vennela Kishore in the lead. Its trailer was released recently. If its content is good, it could give Operation Valentine a run for its money.
4. Bhoothaddam Bhaskar Narayana: This detective comedy entertainer stars Shiva Kandukuri in the lead. The youngster is trying hard to score a hit. This is his make-or-break film.
5. Sapatham: This is a sequel to RGV's 'Vyooham'. The makers are confident that 'Vyooham' won't last a week in theatres. That's why they are expecting 'Sapatham' to do some damage control.
