With big players like Dil Raju's SVC Cinemas, Suniel Narang's Asian Cinemas and Mythri Movie Makers expanding their footprint in the exhibition sector, new screens have been set up in different towns in the Telugu States. This Sankranthi, a Multiplex owned by Mythri is coming up in Guntur, while a 4-screen cinema theatre complex owned by Dil Raju is coming up in Eluru.
"A 6-screen Mythri Multiplex in Guntur and a 4-screen SVC Cinemas in Eluru are going to debut this January 12 in Andhra Pradesh. The competition for screens will only intensify this year with Mythri Movie Makers venturing into leasing single screens as well," says a trade tracker.
This January 12, 'Guntur Kaaram' and 'Hanu-Man' will hit the cinemas. The latter will get support from Mythri Movie Makers. Mahesh Babu's film will enjoy the patronage of Dil Raju wherever possible.
