Not many know that Dil Raju faced a humongous setback as a distributor in 2017-18 when Mahesh Babu's 'SPYder' and Pawan Kalyan's 'Agnyathavaasi' incurred losses to the tune of Rs 25 Cr in Nizam. Dil Raju was the distributor of the two big-ticket movies.
In an interview a few years ago, Raju said that any other distributor would have ceased to exist in the film business after the costly disasters. Raju sustained and thrived because he delivered six consecutive hits as a producer during 2017 and 2018.
In the same interview, Raju said that the film that fetched him the greatest profit was 'Baahubali: The Beginning'. "I made Rs 10 Cr profit from that movie because it collected Rs 42 Cr," he added.
Raju is currently producing 'Game Changer', 'Family Star' and a few other movies.
