Ravi Teja's 'Eagle' was up for a grand Sankranthi release. Just days before its scheduled theatrical release, it voluntarily moved out of the race. The action thriller is now a February 9th release. At that time, Dil Raju said that 'Eagle' will have a solo release at the box-office. 'Solo release' is supposed to be the exclusive and only release of the week.
But the release date of 'Eagle' was announced as February 9 without consultations with the makers of 'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona'. Since they were not contacted to persuade them to change the release date of their movie, the makers of 'OPB' have stuck to their release date: February 9.
Today, at his film's trailer launch event, Sundeep Kishan confirmed that they were not consulted after 'Eagle' was postponed to February 9. "Our film has been in the making for 2.5 years. We can't go back on the release date now," he and producer Razesh Danda said in as many words.
The makers of Sundeep Kishan's movie are hoping that, like 'HanuMan', their film will emerge victorious, given the elements of magic and fantasy in it.
Both 'Eagle' and 'OPB' will see a prominent release at the box-office.
