A restaurant named Deccan Kitchen, which was housed in a parcel of land allegedly owned by the Daggubati family in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills, was razed to the ground last year by GHMC officials in the presence of police. Its proprietor, K Nandakumar, has resorted to legal recourse. On Monday, media reports emerged that Nandakumar has filed a petition in the Nampally court.
Following the petition, a case has been filed against Daggubati Venkatesh, recently seen as the lead man of 'Saindhav'. Senior producer D Suresh Babu too has been named. 'Baahubali' actor Rana Daggubati and 'Ahimsa' actor Abhiram Daggubati have also been named in the case.
As per the aggrieved party, the demolition that was worth crores of rupees was done against a previous city civil court directive. Expensive furniture was allegedly lifted during the demolition from the place.
Summons have been issued to the Daggubati family members. They are expected to present their version through their lawyer.
