Actor Suriya is going to be directed by Karthik Subbaraj of 'Jigarthanda' and 'Peta' fame. The project was announced recently. And now, afresh, it has emerged that Pooja Hegde will be its female lead. To be made originally in Tamil, the untitled flick will eventually be dubbed into Telugu as well.
Pooja has bagged the offer at a time when her Tollywood career is practically non-existent. This is her third Kollywood outing, the first two being 'Mugamoodi' and 'Beast'. The latter was headlined by Thalapathy Vijay and featured the 'Maharshi' actress in an eminently silly role.
Pooja will probably have the last laugh this time. Karthik Subbaraj is a very sensible filmmaker. Last year, he scored a hit with 'Jigarthanda DoubleX'.
The Suriya-Pooja film also features Malayalam actor Joju George in a pivotal part. 'Kalki 2898 AD' composer Santhosh Narayanan is setting the songs to tune for this early 2025 or late 2024 release.
