Earlier this month, a small-time dancer named Satish filed a complaint against choreographer Jani Master at the Raidurgam police station, alleging that the latter has been "harassing him by preventing him from getting work in film shoots." On Monday, Jani Master held a presser to refute his allegations.
The popular choreographer made it clear that he would step out of the film industry if Satish could prove his allegations with proofs.
Jani Master is President of the Telugu Film and TV Dancers and Dance Directors Association (TFTDDA). He updated the media that a land worth Rs 5 Cr was acquired for the union and the same is currently held up. He said that he has been making efforts to get health insurance for dancers with the help of the Ram Charan-Upasana Kamineni duo.
He alleged that Satish has gone rogue in total disregard for the norms and disciplinary rules observed at the Association. "Some people were threatened too and so I wanted to address this. Hence, I called this press conference. Satish released a video with baseless statements. If even one of the allegations is true, I will leave the industry," he iterated.
General Secretary Srinu Devara accused Satish of using foul language in the past. He added that discussions and deliberations among members are essential for resolving issues.
Ayesha Master, who is the wife of Jani Master, also attended the presser. "Because he has always been there for the union, Jani has been targeted. He had to be on remand for 14 days, leaving me and our family fear-stricken. Satish is making false allegations against the person who fed the needy," she added.
TFTDDA founders L Venkateswara Rao and Somaraju also supported Jani on the occasion.
