PVR, the national multiplex chain, has relaunched its passport program whereby movie-goers can watch films at cheap ticket rates. With just Rs 349, you can watch four movies every month from Monday to Thursday. For special seats and formats, Rs 150 per ticket is the additional cost.
However, to the disappointment of Hyderabadis, the scheme hasn't been applied to Hyderabad. In Telangana, only Armoor and Warangal will have the scheme in force.
The scheme is widespread in Andhra Pradesh, though. Guntur, Kakinada, Kurnool, Narsipatnam, Vijayawada, Vizag and Vizianagaram are the names.
Hyderabadis are disappointed with the exclusion of the city under the new scheme. Probably, the multiplex chain knows that the appetite of the dwellers of the city for cinema is so high that they don't need discounts. Hyderabadis watch movies even if the ticket price is Rs 400.
