Director Prasanth Varma wanted to do 'Jai HanuMan', the sequel to 'HanuMan', at the earliest. However, his plans haven't worked out due to some unavoidable issues. It is said that Varma is yet to finalize even the main cast for the pan-Indian fantasy actioner.
Never the one to rest, the 'AWE' director has now gone back to a project he had started a couple of years ago. 'Octopus' is its title. Anupama Parameswaran, who is soon going to be seen in 'Tillu Square', is one of its main actors.
Varma and his screenplay-writing team believe that 'Octopus' has so much potential. Its shoot was partially completed in 2022.
'Octopus' is expected to have a unique plot and storyline. Given the image enjoyed by Varma after the roaring success of 'HanuMan', its openings are going to be interesting to watch from a trade perspective. Moreover, the film will find takers among OTT platforms.
