Tollywood actress Hema was on Monday arrested by Bengaluru Police for attending a drug-fueled rave party at a farmhouse. The Central Crime Branch (CCB) interrogated her after she tested positive for drug consumption.
It may be recalled that, even after the police publicly implicated her, she openly denied attending the party. Flight records confirmed her presence at the party, though. Over 100 people attended it, out of which 86 tested positive. An FIR for public disturbance and drug offenses has been registered against them.
A video went viral showing Hema in a burqa, disguising herself to avoid detection. The senior artist faces charges of drug consumption, obstructing investigations, and providing false information. Following her arrest, she underwent mandatory medical tests.
