On Thursday, Hindi actor Govinda famously joined the Shiv Sena. He was with the Congress party for five years, between 2004 and 2009. After briefly dabbling in politics, Govinda went into political oblivion.
Be that as it may, two Bollywood actresses are also speculated to be joining the Shiv Sena soon. They are Karishma and Kareena Kapoor.
Shiv Sena has always held close ties with many Bollywood celebs. Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt were close to Bal Thackeray, the founder of the party.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut was given an MP ticket by the BJP. She is contesting from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. Radhika Sarathkumar was also given a ticket by the party from Tamil Nadu.
As the election season approaches, more and more celebs are likely to be in the news over (re-)joining politics.
